Ugh. Ok, Stephanie. Stop making excuses. Time to stop being lazy, and start paying attention to how much you're eating (too much, especially carbs) and how little you're walking. You were averaging over 11,000 steps a day in LA, now, closer to 7,000. And you aren't watching what you eat at all. Did you really need that whole bag of Pirate's Booty? I think not.
No more, "oh, I promise I'll cook and eat better in Brisbane," and, "there's no where to go for a walk around here." Lame excuses and you know it. Get up. Get moving. Use your FitBit to track calories in and calories burned the way you did on LA, because you need more energy, better eating habits to share with your daughter, and, let's be honest, a body you won't be ashamed of in a bathing suit.
