I have so many projects going, I can't really keep track. And none of them have me feeling particularly inspired and motivated. I seem to have lost my motivation somewhere - possibly under the pile of half done projects. Possibly in the luggage that's still being held at customs because not everyone has gotten their paperwork in yet and it hasn't been released for distribution. Possibly back in the States where I had room to spread out and get my projects organized.
Huh. Can't imagine why it's sometimes hard to get motivated.
So, here's the current status of a handful of creative outlets.
First - I got my 3Doodler! Dylan ordered it from Kickstarter over a year ago and they finally shipped, so here it is!
I played around with it a few days ago, after spending a night dreaming about all the cool things I could do with it. I was picturing making some Shaun the Sheeps for Kaylee to play with. Or a stick-figure type doll or two she could play with. And all kinds of other cool things. Then I realized it was going to be a lot harder to work with then I thought. It'll take some practice. Here's my first attempts at a roller coaster-type thing.
Okay, so nothing impressive. But, I learned things. So, I'll try something new in a few days.
Second - knitting project. Dylan requested new black fingerless mitts for Japan. He made the request when we were shopping at Aunt Peg's yarn shop (Tawas Bay Yarn Co.) during the summer. I have a half of one mitt done. This is not my usual knitting speed. Poor Dylan might have new mitts for NEXT winter.
Third - The Twelve Days of Christmas ornaments I'm making for Kaylee's felt Christmas tree. You know, that holiday that was over a month ago? I got Eleven Pipers done, finally, today.
I don't love it... I wanted to tear out the bow/ribbon decoration but decided it was too late and I really just want to get these done. The red thread would have left behind a stain on the white felt... anyway. I don't love it, but it's still cute. The music notes make up for anything about the ribbon I don't like. Now, the drum. One more! Then they'll be done. Done, done, done. That would be cool.
