Knitting as High-Risk Sport

I'm making some leg warmers for Kaylee.  When I carry her to and from school in the backpack, her jeans ride up, leaving a two inch gap of exposed skin between sock and pant leg, and there have been some seriously cold days the past month.  I know spring is basically here and she may not need them as much now, but they're a quick knit and should be done by the end of the week.

A simple knit, shouldn't take too much yarn, and I have a small stash with me, so I'm using a ball leftover from some fingerless mitts I made for my sister a few years ago.  A nice cotton/bamboo blend.  Very soft and silky.

And perfect color to complement most of the toddler's wardrobe.

The problem is....

I have this gut feeling I'm going to run out of yarn.

But I'm not stopping until I do.
