Not a travel blog, not a mommy blog, not a knitting or photography blog... just a "hey, sometimes I like to blog" blog, where I do all those things.

Random Thoughts
Last night on my temperpedic for a LONG time
This little girl could be a terror on the plane(s) tomorrow. She can have quite a temper for such a young kid.
It hasn't yet hit me exactly how tough five weeks away from Dylan will be on me.
It hasn't yet hit me how hard five weeks away from Kaylee will be on Dylan
Four suitcases (one is mostly just a duffle for the pack n play), two carry-ons, one diaper bag, one infant, a stroller and car seat.... I had just gotten pretty good at traveling light. Those days appear to be over.
Never did get any movies downloaded onto iPad... hope there's an inflight movie to Chicago. Do they do that any more?
There were so many rounds of packing and unpacking that I don't remember where anything is any more. I know where the diapers and formula are... hopefully that'll get us through. Then, when I unpack, it will be like Christmas!
I am going to forget a lot of little things between 4:30 and 5:10 tomorrow morning, as we're running around getting ready for the airport. Once again, glad I'm leaving and getting the little girl out of here a day ahead of Dylan.
I'm really going to miss friends who care enough to be here for the third or fourth day in a row, hauling stuff to storage, taking things apart, holding the baby, and flipping us off when they remember that the reason they're doing it is because we're going away.
Five years ago, Dylan sent me to Michigan for the Labor Day weekend while he finished packing up our Palo Alto house and moved up here to start his job at the Shakespeare Festival. Now, he's sending his baby and I to Michigan for Christmas while he settles into Cirque. Five weeks will be a long time though. Especially when we consider how much Kaylee will change in those five weeks.
I need to get some sleep. That alarm is going to go off awfully early.
