First of all, an ability to connect to your wireless router does not qualify as "free wifi" if I am unable to Google.
I chased Free Wifi signs all over town this afternoon.
Finally gave up and sat in the park (despite the cloudy skies and 40% chance of rain) where I knew the Brisbane City Council's Free Wifi actually works.
Secondly, it's a rough lifestyle transition to be constantly concerned about data usage. Wha??? You mean that if I have 3 iDevices all set to sync my Photo Stream (along with other iCloud data), and then use my phone to take a dozen pictures a day, that the data usage can become.... Expensive?
So, back to the park, for a blissful two hours of unlimited free internets. (The baby was home with her awesome babysitter). Photo Stream updated, apps updated, jobs searched for, applications submitted for online/virtual teaching positions, and random web browsing commenced.
:)
Then, got home to a happy girl (and happy babysitter).
Coffee + muffin = $8
Wifi = Free
Babysitter = $15/hr
Three hours to myself in a beautiful park? Priceless.
(picture is from the same park location last week, when I had the baby girl with me)
