Drama in Sydney

Sorry about the lack of posts.  Turns out that living in a circus can come with the same kind of drama-crap that I thought I'd be past after college.  Some of it has just been too much to keep separate from the more lighthearted travel- and mommy-oriented stuff I try to post here, so I've been kind of silent.  Working on getting back in the groove; hopefully, there will be regular posts about my adorable daughter and the fun parts of Sydney soon.

For a quick update:
When we got to Sydney, we were living out in the suburbs, close to Site.  There was a huge parkland, a cute little playground for Kaylee less than a block away, and great families (Cirque and local) to spend time with.  Unfortunately, it also came with a roommate who was trying to destroy our marriage.  Fortunately, she didn't succeed and we were able to move to Downtown and get away from her and try to fix what was almost destroyed.

We now have a slightly smaller 43rd floor apartment with an awesome, unobstructed view over the suburbs.  And it's 2 bedroom that we have mostly to ourselves (the spare room is saved for Fly-Ins - corporate visitors, extra hands for events like tear-down, etc).  A much better living situation all around.

We're just three blocks from Darling Quarter - an awesome little entertainment center with gorgeous fountains, dozens of restaurants, the aquarium, the maritime museum, and more.  Oh, and a huge playground!  It's really too much for Kaylee, but I love it :)

Kaylee and I checked out the science museum yesterday.  She and I disagreed about which parts were cool.  I liked the Lace Love exhibit, the Experiments, and lots of stuff she didn't let me look at.  She liked watching the tv screens in the Wiggles exhibit.  I had gotten out of the house, braved the wind and rain, to get her away from tv screens.  Sigh.  I think Dylan and I will go there together sometime, if we can find a babysitter for Kaylee.

No good pictures to share - stay tuned!  I will get back to them!
