Christmas Tree

Kaylee loves playing with her Christmas Tree, especially the lights.

She drags them around, uses them to "fish" off the side of the bed, and wraps them around us to decorate us all like trees.  They're simple felt, sewn onto a green ribbon.  Easy to make, and fun to play with.

I've made a handful of felt ornaments, as well.  Just felt and embroidery, with a crocheted cord to hang them.

Kaylee's working on the fine motor skills of getting them on and off the buttons.

All in all, it's been a highly successful homemade seasonal toy for her!

  2. What beautiful hand made ornaments ! Stephanie, you are amazing with ALL the crafts you do ! I did some when the kids were little and it was fun to see them enjoy them....but yours are much fancier and more time involved. Great idea for small muscle dev. as well as FUN, FUN, FUN. When I taught preschool the kids loved felt boards and felt things to use on the boards so I can imagine she's having LOTS of fun!
