Christmas Knits

This is only my second year of making knitted gifts for Christmas. Last year, it was a set of stocking caps for Dylan's brother & his family:

I love these hats.

The scrap yarn became my first entralac escapade in the spring:

This year, I have only two projects (school turned out to be a bigger challenge then the office job last year). One is a shawl for my mother-in-law. The pattern is the Nancy One-Skein Shawl from Schaefer Yarn, in Eleanor Roosevelt.

The other project was finishing the fingerless mitts I started for Dylan before school started. It's amazing how little knitting time I had when all free time was spent reading for class. Dylan's are Berroco's Jacoby with a yarn to be named later (I don't remember where I left the skein wrapper). They are UBER soft and awesome. And DONE! The school I was at this week gave me 2 45-minute breaks during the day, so I had plenty of time to catch up!

If things keep going this way, and the shawl is safely done and sent off before we leave for Christmas in Michigan, I may even be able to give my sister a 'kit' with some started fingerless mitts as her Christmas gift.

More to come!
