Excited about a new city

Don't let my previous posts fool you.  I'm actually very excited about moving on to Portland.  I love LA, but after 3 months, was ready for something new.  And Portland is not only someplace new, but it's kinda like 'home' and we have cousins here and are closer to friends that we will (hopefully) visit with.

The transfer up here went as planned, and smoothly, too!  Kaylee was great on the plane, everyone is completely enchanted by her.1  Dylan's drive up was uneventful, and he even got to stop in Ashland and see friends and put some stuff into storage and take some out.2

We've already had a chance to shop at Fred Meyer (sometimes its the little things that make it feel like home) and spend an afternoon with the cousins.

Other things we're looking forward to doing while we're here:

  • OMSI!!!!  Lots of times
  • Oregon Zoo
  • Children's Museum
  • More playdates with cousins
  • A trip (or two) to Ashland
  • Stocking up for Australia
  • Apparently there's this "Saturday Market" thing downtown, we'll check that out.
  • And... whatever else we find.

Any suggestions?

1 Good job foolin' em, kid!  We all know better.
2 It's a good thing he took some out, or the stuff he put in would never have fit #overlystuffedstorageunit  #itwasagameoftetris
